YOU'RE WELCOME TO THE ALL NEW SPIDERWORLD SUDOKU BLOG

NOTE FROM THE AUTHOR: My name is Bassey, a sudoku enthusiast from Nigeria.I am creating this blog to introduce sudoku lovers worldwide to some very exciting brand new sudoku puzzles which I have singlehandedly created after a couple of years of intense work on developing sudokus for the next generation. The first of them all is a sudoku I call Spider. This is the baby of them all because its very versatile with so many exciting variants which I will let you see as you follow my blog. There is also the Wheel sudoku which is made on a round grid, then the Trigonals which boosts of triangular grids on triangular boxes in a triangular grid, then the pyramidoku which is a sudoku on a pyramid, another baby is the Akwa which is the world's first two-in-one grid sudoku, it combines the classical sudoku and the spider sudoku all in one super grid. This kind of sudoku is particularly suited for competition play. Finally there is also the Jumbo spider which is an innovational grid that carries three spider sudokus in one super grid. There are also many more exciting variants which I have not mentioned here which you will get see on this blog as we progress, so sit back, relax and let me take you through the introduction proper starting with the almighty Spider sudoku.

INTRODUCING

SPIDER SUDOKU

THE BRAND NEW SUDOKU

This is an 8 by 16 or 2(8-8) grid sudoku with 128 triangular cells and 16 square boxes. It is actually formed when an 8 by 8 grid is duplicated by dividing all the 16 boxes with diagonals making it a 2(8-8) grid sudoku and transforming the square cells into triangular cells thereby giving it its unique cobweb like appearance. Each of the 16 boxes in a spider sudoku contains 8 triangular cells, there are also clearly identifiable vertical and horizontal lines which may not be visible to a learner but will be made clear as you read on.
There are 16 vertical and horizontal lines each containing 8 triangular cells just as is contained in the boxes, lines are formed by pairs of similar triangles in each of the boxes identified according to their orientations on the grid, also to make it easier to identify lines, colours are used to distinguish each line as can be seen in the above diagram where horizontal lines are coloured blue, red, yellow and green. Also looking at the diagram vertically, vertical lines are coloured in pairs; red yellow, blue green, blue green and red yellow.
The spider sudoku horizontal line: Each contains 8 triangles all similar in shapes and orientations on the grid, each coloured blue, red, yellow and green respectively as shown in the diagram above. There are 16 horizontal lines in a typical spider sudoku.
The spider sudoku vertical line: Each contains 8 triangles all similar in shapes and orientaions on the grid, each coloured in pairs: red yellow and blue green respectively as shown in the diagram above. There are 16 vertical lines in a typical spider sudoku.
The spider sudoku box: Each box contains 8 triangles coloured in pairs of red, blue, green and yellow respectively with bold lines bordering each box on the grid. There are 16 boxes in a spider sudoku.

 OBJECTIVES

The objective is to fill the grid so that, each column, each row and each of the 16 boxes that compose the grid contains all of the digits from 1-8 only once. The numbers can appear in any order and diagonals are not considered. Your initial game board will consist of several numbers already placed. Those cannot be changed. Your goal is to to fill in the empty squares following the simple rule above.
